Exciting Finale at Vitesse 2024 5-A-Side Tournament!

What an unforgettable day at Powerleague Shoreditch as teams battled it out in the annual Vitesse  5-a-side tournament! With 20 teams competing, the energy was high, the goals were plenty, and fans were treated to a series of thrilling matches.‍

Tournament Highlights: Teams showed up with determination and displayed impressive skill. A few memorable moments included:

• Top Performances: Standout performances by new commers Lilly Plumbers Risks, they put on a fine display with Joe Pellicci leading his team to being winners of the Plate!
• Game of the Day: Vitesse Vipers vs. Pen Underwriting,  which saw incredible back-and-forth action and ended in a nail-biting finish with Vitesse Vipers just coming out on top!
• Spectacular Goals: Fans were treated to a range of incredible goals, including Long range, trick shots and dare we say pure luck!

Final Match Recap: In the championship game, HDI FC faced off against returning champions Travelers A in a match that was nothing short of thrilling. After a hard-fought game, Travellers A team emerged victorious once again!  Well done to both team who played extremely well.Team Spirit and Fan Support: From the first whistle to the final kick, teams displayed incredible sportsmanship, embodying the true spirit of the tournament. Fans added to the lively atmosphere with nonstop cheering, making the day memorable for everyone involved and the afterparty allowed everyone to recharge and enjoy meeting new people.Closing: Congratulations to all teams for once again making this tournament a success and supporting our Charity St Giles who we were able to raise £10,000 for through this event.  We look forward to an even bigger and better tournament in 2025 – until then, keep practicing, and see you on the pitch!
